Build Your Own Angry-Bird-Playing Robot at Our First NYC Robot Hackathon

Posted Apr 11th, 2013

We at Sauce Labs love robots. There are robots that perform life-saving surgery, vaccuum our houses, and take panoramic pictures of other planets. But our own co-founder, Jason Huggins, has built a robot that does what no other robot could do before: play Angry Birds. Oh, and test mobile apps.

Now you can build your own open source mobile testing robot at our first robot hackathon! Join us on April 25th, 2013 from 10AM-5PM at Crowdtap in New York City for this special event.

At the hackathon, Jason will assist attendees with assembling their own Tapster, made out of 3D-printed plastic, powered by Arduino, and completely open source.

Once the Tapster is built, Jason will spend the afternoon helping attendees program and automate mobile apps using Appium, an open source tool for testing hybrid and native mobile apps. By the end, we hope you'll take Tapster back to your co-workers and friends to automate all the mobile things.

We’ll provide lunch, snacks and beverages. All you need to bring is a mobile phone and a laptop. Get your tickets here:

See you there!
